BITTER SWEET is a flag installation featuring vibrant, hand-printed photographic flags of Colombians’ women the sacred CACAO, and the COCA plant.

COCA teaches us to speak the truth with a sweet word, and CACAO opens the heart to joy.

Both plants require respect. Colombia’s women carry their ancestry, keeping alive the memory, traditions, and wisdom of their land, carried by the wind.

This installation creates a visual representation of the interconnectedness of the Americas.
