I am traveling to Colombia, Bogota to keep on working on my new project Los del monte, where I am portraying the Colombian nature and displaced people, affected by the violent conflict, which is ongoing since over 50 years.

The Reportage from a difficult Love-story in Herat, Afghanistan, was published in the Dossier of "Die Zeit" , Nr. 29. Wolfgang Bauer was the writer and together we have been there for 10 days in April, researching and living the difficulties of the country.

Down There is shown at the FOTONOVIEMBRE 2011, XI Biennale of Photography on the island of Tenerife inside the circle of Atlantica Collectivas. The pictures are shown at the Instituto de Estudios Hispanicos de Canarias, C/ Quintana 18, Puerto la Cruz.

Lars Harmsen and Matthias Kantereit from Magma Brand Design are working with me on an amazing book concept. It is still a lot of work until the release in spring 2012

For the whole month I am in Columbia shooting a Reportage in Medellin and Bogota for the project " Peace Counts".
Things are going well here, besides the violence and conflict the people are wonderful, gentle, open, creative, with a lot to tell and a lot to teach.
